We are delighted to share this strategy with Hibernian Football Club supporters and our wider community. This plan is not only shaped by Hibernian Community Foundation but the wider community through community and supporter consultation.

The strategic plan details how we will inspire, support and develop people living across Edinburgh and Lothians in the next 3 years. As the official charity of Hibernian Football Club, we are fortunate to be able to use the unique appeal of football the club to not only invite participants to our homes at Easter Road and the Hibernian Training centre but to extend our impact far and wide. We are proud that Hibernian Football Club through the work of Hibernian Community Foundation can change lives for the better.

The new strategy will also allow Hibernian Community Foundation to meet many of the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. Hibernian Community Foundation developed a number of new initiatives during this time, all of which shape the future of our work in years to come. The Foundation answered calls on how to tackle food poverty, increased education interaction and reduced social isolation for our vulnerable community members.

The next 3 years presents an incredible opportunity to work closer with our communities and to accelerate new opportunities and partnerships to support people to live healthier lives, improve education levels, gain employment and become a better citizen of Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Within our new strategy we have 8 key priority areas:

Education

Health

Employment

Infrastructure

Sport

Inclusion

Environment

Inspiring Our Supporters

I look forward with confidence to our new strategic plan bringing renewed commitment, success and opportunities to local people.
