Foundation works in Partnership with Top European Clubs

The Community Foundation has been part of a successful consortium bid to Erasmus Plus to develop and deliver an innovative project which will provide both Community and Academy coaches with techniques and strategies that will build resilience in young people.

Fair Play brings the Foundation together with Feyenoord; Werder Bremen; Inter Milan; Charlton Athletic and Erasmus University and recognises the challenges many young people face and the unique position football plays in improving lives. As such the project will encourage the development of life skills in young people focusing on encouraging the young person to deal with setbacks in their personal life including those at home, and socio educational and personal development.

The project will also feature a coach exchange which will see our coaches visiting each of the three other clubs in the consortium and coaches from these clubs also visiting Easter Road.

TheFair Play project will run for three years and is lead by Erasmus University in Rotterdam who will input academic research and coordinate the project.
