Hibernian Girls and Ladies are amongst Scotland's most successful female football setups. Founded in 1997 for the initial two seasons of its existence the Club was under the auspices of Preston Athletic.
The name changed to Hibernian in 1999 an success has flowed since then. In 2006-7 Hibernian secured a domestic double, finishing the league campaign with an 100% record. The Club has secured the league championship three times and represented Scotland in the UEFA Women's Champions League most recently in 2016 against Bayern Munich in 2016.
In 2016 Hibernian won the Women's Scottish Cup for the 6th time beating Glasgow City on penalties having previously lifted the 2016 League Cup against the same opponents.
