Corra Foundation Funds Para Football Initiative

Hibernian Community Foundation has secured funding from the Corra Foundation to develop our para football initiative.

The Grant will be used to improve the lives of disabled people living in Edinburgh by providing football sessions: positive lifestyle messages; and improving employability potential within a safe but fun environment.

Various research has shown that people living with disabilities are amongst the most disadvantaged in society today whilst the effect of disability can lead to anxiety and depression; loss of freedom and independence; and reduced employment potential.

The Project will address a range of issues affecting disabled sport including access, support, and cost. In addition it will address some of the health inequalities faced by disabled people.
